Hello everyone!
Lately, quite a few of the Fedora SIGs and teams have initiated a bridge
for their IRC channel to Telegram to make it easier for contributors to
come on-board and participate in the community [1] (Note that the list
is not exhaustive). After the universal Fedora group on Telegram [2] I
took the initiative to create a new group only for the Indian
contributors [3] and I would now like to propose a bridging to
#fedora-india on IRC.
A good way to go forward with this will be to create a native Matrix
room and make it a **plumbed room** [4] with integration to IRC and
Telegram. Such a setup eliminates the requirement of a dedicated bridge
to be setup on a server to sync messages between IRC and Telegram by
using t2bot - A public bridge, bot, and integration network for Matrix [5].
I would like to know everyone's thoughts on this. If everyone agrees on
this, I will need some support from the OP on the IRC channel to setup
the bridging.

+1 – I would like to see this happen. There is a decent amount of
activity in the Fedora India Telegram group, and I think it would be a
positive thing to link the Telegram community into the IRC channel. This
has been a helpful move for many other Fedora sub-projects too, like
CommOps, Marketing, and Mindshare.
