ISLE: Now with Islandora 8

Hello Community!

We are happy to announce that ISLE for Islandora 8 is now available in alpha and ready for download!

Why ISLE you ask? 

Speed! As well as being simpler all around to install, run and update, ISLE is fast. Installation happens in the time it takes to download the images from Dockerhub, and for  those building images themselves, ISLE utilizes Docker's buildkit feature for speedy builds. And because it is fast, it lends itself well to automation using CI/CD tools like Github Actions and Gitlab.

Also, ISLE is a cross-platform tool and the first and only community supported way to run Islandora on a Windows machine running WSL2. Wahoo!
