Fedora Technology Update
Since the release of Fedora 7.0.0, Dan and the Fedora Committer Team have been actively working on updating dependency libraries in several of the community-developed tools.
Bringing these tools up to modern, secure versions has been a priority to ensure their long-term stability.
To date, the following tools have been updated, or are on the radar for completion:

Through this work, Dan has been working with AI-assisted development via Claude Code. In preparation for a possible future involving AI-assisted development, the team has committed
to increasing integration testing and code coverage over 90% for each tool prior to incorporating AI-assisted outputs into the codebase. This effort is intended to serve as a proof of concept for future development processes and inform how the program handles
alternative forms of contributions.

Fedora at DLF & DigiPres
This year, in a virtual format, watch as Fedora community member, Yakub Damola Yakub, presents his Fedora story in the new digital storytelling format at DLF Forum. Yakub will
share his work on the Fedora-based repository he is building in his presentation titled,
When the Elders Fall Silent: Building offline community archives with Fedora across rural African communities.

Also taking place virtually this year, Fedora Program Manager Arran Griffith will be presenting her talk called
Fedora’s Support for the NDSA Levels of Digital Preservation: What it enables and why it matters, at
DigiPres.
This presentation will explore how the features of Fedora, when implemented intentionally, can work to support digital preservation best practices and help institutions meet the NDSA defined Levels of Preservation.
