Hi, all ...

The Federal KM Initiative has been quiet for a few months. So has the KM Working Group list (km.gov). I suppose it's been related to the end of the fiscal year, as well as the chaotic economy.

My firm has gone through a successful recompete of its contract, so I will be staying on at the Pentagon as KM Lead in Army, G-4. I'm hoping that with the new fiscal year, and some upticks in the economic picture we can begin to see some daylight in reaching influential government contacts to push the KM Initiative.

How is everyone feeling these days?

Neil, congratulations on the recompete.  that's great news.  I missed you at the Tuesday Ark Group Conference; due to client commitments, I arrived at 2:45PM.  hopefully, we'll reenergize the groups now that the new fiscal year has started.  BTW, do you know if the election results have ever been announced?  I sent Jeanne an email a few weeks ago and still haven't heard anything.  best regards, Terrie.

Terrie,

Sorry I missed you at the Ark group thing; had to go back to work at the Pentagon.

I don't believe there has been any announcement of the election results.  Also, I haven't heard anything regarding the proposal that Jeanne submitted to the CIO council.

Maybe we can re-energize folks now, but the White House and Congress are quite focused on Health Care, and whenever that blows over there's Afghanistan and the economy again. And climate change. Etc.

As I mentioned Tuesday, retirement is good.  Lots of time to do what I enjoy -- like supporting various KM initiatives.
