Hi all,

Just letting you know that we are trying these pellets

The upside, mice (and cats?!) really really like it and it is quite similar to the regular chow we buy from bio-serv.
The downside, over the long term, they get crushed if the space in the hopper is not enough for them to go under.

We kinda fixed it by heavily sanding the hopper at the piece that controls the entry to the hole.
We are also looking forward to try the new FED3 design!

Best,
Matias

Just want to second Matias' comment! We also tried these pellets and they have worked well. We noticed the crushing/jamming issue and have (almost completely) circumvented it by conducting daily cleaning during which we empty out the pellet reservoir and blow compressed air.

Thanks for the updates!  We are using gain pellets from TestDiet:

I think they are very similar to the BioServ pellets.  They crumble much more easily than sucrose pellets but we have been successful in dispensing them with the newer angled dispensing FED.  Here's the average of 10 FEDs across 10 days of continuous feeding.  We check them 2x per day but only found one jammed FED across these 10 days.  I think the angled dispenser is a big improvement for these more difficult pellets.
