Hi All,

I am writing a new protocol, and there are some new variables I want to record, 

1.  How to log additional variables in the FED3 code?  

2.  In my new protocol, I will give a 3s light cue, and I also want to send a 3s Opto-stim simultaneously,  how to do that?

Hi Jon!

Thanks for the question, I recorded a video about it as it's a topic that should be useful for others. 

Briefly, you can edit the logData() function in the FED3.cpp file (line 917 in v1.12.0) to log anything you want!  If you add columns you will probably also want to edit the writeHeader() function (line 892) to add column headers for your new variables.  Video that talks through how to do this is here!
