I am having an issue with changing the program on my FED3. When turning on the device, while the mouse is running across the screen, if I poke into the right nose poke I should be able to change the program but that is not working for me. I am able to change the device number and set the clock by poking into both nose pokes at the same time and the device registers when I make a right nose poke during FR1, so it’s not broken (I think). I have also tried just poking into the left nose poke while the mouse runs across and nothing happens with that too.
Has anyone has this same issue? Any suggestions for troubleshooting? Would really appreciate some assistance, thanks!

Hello! What program are you running on the FED3?  The ability to change programs is only present in the "ClassicFED3" program (or in a custom menu program if you've created one).  One possibility for what you're experiencing is that you have an FR1 program on the device and not the ClassicFED3 program. When you start the device, the ClassicFED3 program will show "Select Program" and prompt you to select a program.  Are you seeing this?

With other programs you will see a large "FED3" with the Library version and Program printed below it - in the photo below the FED3 is running library 1.17.0, with an "FR1" program.  Can you let me know what you're seeing?

Hi! I am super new to FED3 and realized that when I loaded just the FR1 program last night, that got rid of the other programs — just as you are saying. I’ve got it now. Thank you for the reply!
