Hello!

We were looking at our FEDs' data (Screenshot attached) and we noticed that on "Free Feeding Mode" when the pellet is already in the well and the animal makes random pokes (Event== LeftWithPellet or RightWithPellet) not only does the device log the poke (which is normal) but also registers motor turns ( which shouldn't actually happen), however, no pellet is released after this "fake motor turn" and the number of pellets is fixed!

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the same issue or are we just confused because of missing something?

Best.

Hi Hamid!  Thanks for writing and catching this!  You found a bug, the FED3 shouldn't log anything for Motor_Turns with pokes. I'll change this in the next library release.  For now I would just ignore these values for the poke row, the motor is not turning it's just populating the value from the previous time the motor turned.  Thanks again for finding this! -Lex
