Hi everybody,

This post is not directly related to FEDs but I thought would be of interest to everybody on the forum anyway. I discussed with Lex and he thought it was appropriate to post here.

Together with colleagues in a European funding initiative we have started a forum for the discussion of animal behaviour experiments. You can sign up at www.TheBehaviorForum.org

Although there is some focus on homecage monitoring - due to where our funding comes from at the moment - discussion is not limited to homecage experiments so really anything to do with the practical, theoretical or welfare issues of animal behavior experiments is an acceptable topic. Go and have a browse if interested (you will need to sign-up first for privacy/security reasons, but it is a simple process).

There are no immediate plans to move the FEDforum away from Google Groups as a nice community has been established here that's working well. However, moving might be considered at a later date if enough people migrate and it seems worthwhile (there is added functionality in the Discourse platform where the new platform is hosted, e.g. "tagging" of posts, better search options, interaction with other adjacent communities etc.)

OK, once again, please sign up and tell your friends and let me know if you have any questions!

Jaime
