Call for Participation in the Green
European Summer University




The Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament in cooperation with
the European Green Party as well as the German and Polish Green
parties, will hold the first "Green European Summer University" at
the German Polish border in Frankfurt/Oder and Słubice from 28 to 31
August 2008.



Greens and non-Greens, NGOs, scientists, managers and trade unionists,
intellectuals and artists, students and other young people are invited
to gather for a stimulating debate on the future of Europe.



During large plenary debates and small working groups, participants
from all over Europe will critically discuss visions, concepts and
policies for a sustainable Europe. Cultural events, excursions and
music events are also a part of the Summer University.



During the university Global Young Greens (GYG) is organising a
workshop on the topic "The role of EU in International Natural
Resource Governance." However, it will be much focused on the issues
related to forest. We would like participants from Global South to
participate and share their opinion and experience on this issue.



If you are interested to share your experience in this field please
write to us explaining

1. about your work, study, experience

2. brief description on the topic you want to present / share

3. mention if there is any intervention/experience of EU support in
your country or region on this issue.

4. attach your CV



We will find ways to support your travel and accommodation for your
presence if your proposal is acceptable to us.



We also encourage GYG members to participate if you are able to fund
