I just recently got an iPhone watch and I did not receive a Sim card with the watch. I later contacted AT&T to add Service to my watch and now whenever I try to connect do use it as a phone it says no Sim.
Some limitations: Cannot receive SMS/MMS messages, as that depends on a fully paired iPhone. Messaging is pretty much limited to Apple's Messages, unless the messaging service provides an Apple Watch app. Alarms, alerts, notifications on the iPhone are not sent to the Apple Watch. Apple Pay via a credit card is not available. Also not available: Medications, respiratory rate, irregular heart rhythm notifications, ECG, AFib History, Cycle Tracking, Sleep, Wrist Temperature, Blood Oxygen, Walking Steadiness, Audiobooks, Camera Remote, News, Shortcuts, and the double tap gesture.
1. **Physical SIM Card or eSIM**: Some cellular Apple Watch models support a physical SIM card, while others use an eSIM, which is a virtual SIM embedded within the watch. You may need to check the specific model of your Apple Watch to determine whether it requires a physical SIM card or uses an eSIM.
Apple Watch SE does require a physical SIM card. Confirmed by me Verizon and apple:) this is a youth watch and is not typically purchased by adults. The adult iwatches are definitely eSIM but the se is physical SIM.
I hate owning a smartphone. I am too easily distracted and having the option to surf YouTube and Instagram and whatnot easily at any time is problematic. However, I do want to be able to just text, call, ask google questions, connect to Bluetooth, and listen to/download music. I have a computer theoretically use to set it up and whatnot as well. I just don't get why having a standalone smartwatch has to be an addition to a phone with an additional charge to my phone bill every month rather than an individual thing.

Connected device plans are monthly data plans for your non-phone devices (i.e., mobile hotspot devices*, USB modems, tablets, laptops, smartwatches, security cameras, in-car Wi-Fi and more).
You can get a connected device plan(s) if your Verizon mobile account has either:
So, I added my visa to the FitBit app and got it verified. However, when I open the wallet on my Versa 2 it gives the message, "Set up Wallet No cards have been added in your Wallet". Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
That part that sucks the most to me is that I JUST bought this new Versa 2 a week ago and can't this working. It's also doing the same thing for my Starbucks app, on the phone it shows my card attached to the SB app but in my watch it says "No Starbucks Card". I would really love to find a solution this issue asap!
I just restored factory settings for my version (1st edition) and set everything up again from scratch. So added my cards and seems to be OK - hopefully it is fixed now. Plus I seem to be on the updated operating system which may have helped sort out the problem.
No issues here. I updated to the most recent firmware and my card is still showing up -- I used it this morning in fact. I'm wondering if it depends on card type. Mine is an AMEX. I'm using iOS. No problems.
I'm also having this issue, but on an Android device. Loaded the card in the app, used it successfully once. Disappeared. Loaded again, can view it on the watch, but opening it on the watch again an hour later and get the "no card has been added to the Wallet" error. I've deleted the card and tried again with the same results. Factory reset is my next step.
Yes, you can transfer your SmarTrip card from your Android phone to your Wear OS smartwatch. Alternatively, you can have SmarTrip cards on both your Android phone and Wear OS smartwatch, but they must be separate cards.
Add your plastic SmarTrip card to your SmarTrip account through the web or via the SmarTrip app, find the card, and choose "Transfer Card to Google Pay." Make sure your phone's NFC is enabled. (Search Settings for "NFC" and verify it is ON.)
Yes, but only one SmarTrip card can be "active" in Google Pay at a time. First deactivate the currently active SmarTrip in Google Pay. To do so, open Google Pay, tap on the currently active SmarTrip, tap the three-dot menu in the upper right corner, and choose "Move to another phone." (You don't need to actually have another phone, but this allows the card to be "parked" elsewhere.) Then add a new SmarTrip card.
It's free to transfer you plastic SmarTrip card to Google Pay. If you purchase a new SmarTrip card in Google Pay, it's free for the first 6 months, though you must make an initial purchase of stored value or pass on a new SmarTrip card in Google Pay. The $2.00 card fee will be reinstated in the future.
If the lost card was registered to your SmarTrip account, you can purchase a new card in Google Pay and then go to SmarTrip Web or SmarTrip Regional Customer Service Center to get help with the balance transfer.
Yes. If you use the SmarTrip website to do a "balance transfer" from one card to another, it will require the standard delivery times of 4 hours rail, 2 days bus for the value to be available to load onto the selected card. Your original SmarTrip card will be deactivated and can no longer be used. The SmarTrip website "balance transfer" feature can also be used to transfer value from a plastic SmarTrip card that has a serial number other than 0167, to a SmarTrip in Google Pay.
Metro's policy of "no refunds" applies to the SmarTrip card in Google Pay as well as plastic SmarTrip. The process and policy for Relocation Refunds (customers outside of the 100-mile radius as indicated by the Tariff) is the same as for plastic SmarTrip cards.
SmarTrip is considered a "Transit Card" in Google Pay. Google Pay will allow you to have an unlimited number of SmarTrip cards in your Google account (Gmail), but only one SmarTrip card can be active at a time. All SmarTrip cards will be linked to the same Google account.
The check mark will be displayed regardless of whether there was sufficient value on the SmarTrip card to pay the fare. The fare gate or farebox will show the appropriate message regarding successful/unsuccessful fare payment.
In Google Pay, your SmarTrip card balance is updated real time. Google Pay can be considered the current value of the card. In the SmarTrip app, there is a time delay for card balance and transactions to be updated. It can take up to 4 hours for rail transactions and up to 2 days for bus transactions to be displayed. In the SmarTrip app, on a card summary screen, there is a circular arrow in the upper right corner, which can be used to refresh the card screen and update the information in the app. Transactions are still subject to the availability guidelines of 4 hours rail/2 days bus.
An inverted transaction occurs when a SmarTrip card does not follow the Entry-Exit-Entry-Exit sequence in rail, e.g., if a card has an Entry, with no Exit, and then tries to enter the system again. During COVID operations, the rail gates allow inverted cards to enter or exit the system without requiring interaction with the Station Manager. The transaction will display on the SmarTrip card as "Forced Entry" or "Forced Exit." Once Metro returns to regular operations, if the card becomes inverted, the fare gate will tell the customer to see the station manager.
Yes, when you purchase a pass through the SmarTrip app or SmarTrip website, Transit Pass Benefits will automatically be applied to your purchase. You are required to enter a credit card when making a purchase using Transit Pass Benefits in the SmarTrip app. You will see this message prior to completing the purchase: The total charged to your credit card may be less than the total shown above. You have $34 available for Transit Pass Benefits. Your charge will be adjusted when Transit Pass Benefits are applied. A credit card is not required in the SmarTrip website to make a purchase that is fully funded by Transit Pass Benefits. Transit Pass Benefits CANNOT be used to purchase a pass in Goggle Pay.
Yes, all SmartBenefits that are already loaded on the plastic card will be transferred immediately to the new SmarTrip card in Google Pay. All SmartBenefits that were pending delivery to the plastic card will be pending delivery to the SmarTrip card in Google Pay, to be loaded to the SmarTrip card by tapping to a TVM, rail fare gate, or bus farebox. It may take up to 4 hours on rail and 2 days on bus for the SmartBenefits to be available for loading to the card.
Station managers should not handle or touch a customer's Android phone. Card readers have been moved to the outside of the station manager kiosks so that a plastic or SmarTrip card in Google Pay can be tapped to the reader by the customer. The station manager can view the display on the Station Console.
Everything that can be viewed for a plastic SmarTrip card will be available for a SmarTrip card in Google Pay, including card balance, passes, and SmartBenefits. Station managers will not have access to any customer account information associated with SmarTrip cards in Google Pay, nor customer Android Phone or personal identifiable information.
As we expected, the kids loved playing music, making video calls, sending each other greeting cards, and engaging with all of the other kid-centric features of the watch. Mom, on the other hand, appreciated the safety side of things, like the closed communication network and listen-in function.
If you want a kids smart watch that helps you watch out for your kids without distracting bells and whistles, then AngelSense is your best bet. Otherwise, the Angel Watch is best for emergencies with its SOS call feature and earned our vote as the best smart watch for kids because it includes virtually every safety feature that parents want in a kids smart watch. It's compatible with AT&T or T-mobile. If you use Verizon, then the Gizmo Watch is the one for you.
