Gacha by itself is already an unstable method of maintaining unit collection in a game. It might sound good on paper, 95% for rares and super rares while 5% for an uber. However, this brings up the thing I talked about earlier, just in another form. bad luck = normal, while good luck = easy victory. A lot of ubers are extremely broken (dasli, mitama, etc.). This is in no way PONOS's fault, because there's bound to be a few unbalanced ubers here and there (although i'm not sure how dasli's stats made it through into the game lmao). The problem is that having just some good luck will result in potentially getting carried to the final stages of the game, creating a lot of unfairness. This is made even worse when stages like N-1 Grand Prix exist (restriction of only normals and uber rares), where you must have a good uber such as shadow gao to carry the stage or have literally no life and have maxed out normal cats. Good job PONOS, what a great stage.

It might now seem that big of a problem until you see the enemies in battle cats. Some of the enemies are completely countered by ubers, while going uberless will get you slaughtered. There's a lot of solutions to fix gacha, which I'll talk about.

Short rant, powercreep is where game developers create units for a certain stage of a game that are superior to other older units in that stage of the game. In the context of Battle Cats, the most obvious example would be Courier Cat with its stats that are broken to the point where it's sad. If you've cleared EOC chapter 3, then you probably have cats good enough to unlock courier cat (only 5 behemoth culling stages required, and then some behemoth stones). Although courier hasn't really ruined the game too much, as time goes on, more and more earlygame units will take over courier. Unlocking any of the units we know today will be futile. What's next, carrier cat? 100,000 Attack Power, 999,999 HP, 100% Savage Blow, Level 99 Surge, targets all traits, freeze for 10 seconds.

Wow, you just spent 10 leaderships and tons of rich cats and treasure radars to receive the absolute worst unit you have seen in your entire life. Advents should be rewarding, as they feature challenging bosses with limited time to complete them. While there are advent reward cats that are extremely useful, there's also some that are about as good as courier cat if it didn't attack. It isn't even advents, the same problem occurs while unlocking legends. I thought they were supposed to be beings with immeasurable power? I guess we do get that, just not in the way you would expect.

Welcome to the Weekly Discussion thread. This discussion thread is for the purpose of containing content that doesn't belong in it's own post, such as "how do I beat X level" or "which of my cats should I upgrade next".

Make sure to indicate the levels of your cats for questions about completing a level, or your progress in SoL, ITF etc for questions about your cats. The more information you give, the easier it is for your fellow players to help you.

The game mechanics in The Battle Cats are pretty simple. You have your base located to the right of a small 2D setting, while your enemy is to the left. Every second, both sides will receive money they can use for two things: to improve the base or to buy troops. Your aim is to try to destroy the enemy base with the army that you create (out of cats of all sorts).

Between levels, you can unlock tons of new cats thanks to the experience you've gained. New cats are absolutely necessary since the first cats only have basic skills. Some of the special cats, though, can do devastating attacks on your enemies.

I decided to delete battle cats earlier today because I desperately wanted to go on Snapchat, however, Battle cats ate up all my space and I had to delete it. I decided to delete Snapchat because I only had a front facing camera and not a face cam and am now downloading battle cats.

Now that the easy part's done with, it's time to discuss the third-to-last Uncanny Legends sub-chapter, Between Truth and Lies. For once, the Japanese name (Road That Weaves the Real Truth) actually gives less to go on the English name. The "truth" is the first 46 sub-chapters of Uncanny Legends itself, whose Japanese name is True Legend Story. The "lies" are in the next sub-chapter, where we go toe-to-toe with all of the heroes the Cats recruited throughout UL, despite them already being on the cats' side. If these are considered lies, we can safely assume that they're just illusions, hallucinations, clones, or otherwise not the ones already in the Cat Army. In Between Truth and Lies' final stage, Neverending Footsteps (Footsteps Leading to the Beginning in JP), Wild Doges make their Uncanny Legends debut, seemingly leaking out from the next sub-chapter...

There's another important tree at the end of UL that you probably noticed well before the enemy base. It appears in both Humanity Catified and in the next sub-chapter, Sacred Forest (Ancient Divine Tree in JP), gleaming with a golden glow that brings to mind the Erdtree from Elden Ring, or other "world trees" such as Yggdrasil from Norse mythology. The tree might come off as a somewhat minor part of the battlefield at first, but after the Sun sets and Luza loses thrice, his mask broken from nonstop battle against the Cat Army, both he and the Cats gets close enough for it to take up most of the background. As the fight against Luza rages on, the tree showers the battlefield with a mysterious golden energy that turns Luza from hero to zero, becoming a Relic/Colossal enemy known as Zero Luza.

Since the sage sealed away Golem Sunfish, a ruinous Relic-powered uperweapon, and this god most likely expects the cats to fight the sage, I suspect that the god wants the cats to unwittingly keep the sage from ever becoming a hero, changing history in the Relics' favor. Either that, or the god is good, but needs the cats to recruit the sage for some greater purpose that will result in them fighting the god regardless; a greater purpose that will make Legend Stages' parallels to the Mana series come full circle.

It's hard to tell exactly where the line is drawn between Relic power and the Sacred Forest's energy, but through Elder Flame Doron's description and the end of UL, both are confirmed to have ties to the ancient gods. So, using Relic power as a substitute for Mana, the main plot points here align surprisingly well with what we know about the main Legend Stages' lore. We know that the Relics used to rule the world, but we can also infer that Relic power is far less abundant than it was in the past. In Stories of Legend, the dark guild/organization aims to bring back Relic power for their own sake, researching them in the ancient Laboratory of Relics, found after the ruined palace in The Legend Ends, and bringing back Relic Bun-Bun as the Floating goliath Mecha-Bun. While nothing is certain about Idi:Re's origins, it is apparent that she began destroying the Laboratory of Relics and appeared to the cats after they took down Mecha-Bun. In the end, it does seem like Relic power is still absent from the world, as it doesn't appear in any of the main story chapters.

For another Mana parallel, Secret of Mana's OST has a track whose name directly translates to "Eternal Recurrence", and one of the main themes of the game is history repeating. Speaking of parallels, many have also taken to calling Superfeline a "mini-Idi", as its role in battle is just a lesser, Colossus-Slaying version of everyone's favorite anti-Relic anomaly. Is this just a coincidence, or is there something more to be gleaned?

The Battle Cats is a game where the player selects a team of in-game unlockable cats with different stat amounts to defeat enemies to protect their base. The gameplay involves sending a broad roster of cats onto a 2D battlefield to defend the Cat Base.

The game story is told through screens of scrolling text, usually appearing at the beginning and end of each part. For example, the story of Empire of Cats consists of an army of Battle Cats appearing amidst the world's varying crises. The identity of the creator of these Battle Cats is the fictional deity The Cat God, which can be unlocked as a power-up early into the story, and beating chapter two of Cats Of The Cosmos opens it as a unit. The cats then proceed to take over the world, harnessing the world's power.
