Ilogged into Origin today to play Sims 3 only to find all my Expansion Packs missing from my game Launcher under Expansions & Stuff again today. My expansions keep going missing in game and I just uninstalled and reinstalled all of them. They either just go Missing or are not checked and I have to re-check them all under Active. When I launch Sims 3 they are not showing up under Expansions but they are showing up on Origin under My Games. I am able to Repair Sims 3 and all my Expansion Packs but after doing so they still will not show up when I launch Sims 3. They were all there yesterday and working and now today poof just gone? Does anyone know why and what is going on? I have tried to search for an answer but I'm not finding what I am looking for. All my Expansion Packs are showing up in Origin just not in game when I launch Sims 3. Any help will be greatly appreciated as I am tired of uninstalling and reinstalling just to get them back into my Sims 3 launcher again. It's very time consuming and frustrating when I have to keep reinstalling Expansion Packs over and over again just to get them to show up in game. Yes my game and Origin are all up to date and no, no mods are installed.

If that does not work, please uninstall the game once more and then reinstall the game via the Origin Client. Next right click the Sims 3 game tile in the Origin "My Games" library and select "View Game Details". Now scroll down and find your expansion packs that you would like to install.

EA_Niles. All my Expansions are listed on my Origin under Game Details. It's The Sims 3 Launcher under expansions & Stuff that wasn't listing them. Not sure why exactly but all my expansions from the launcher vanished when my son was downloading a Star Wars game on Origin. right after rebooting they all reappeared in game?? Just very strange. If this happens again I will try using the Factory Reset as you have suggested and thank you!

I'm having the same problem. None of my expansion packs are listed in the TS3 launcher (on the "Expansions and Stuff" tab). When I click "Install packs, it shows all of them already installed in Origin. I tried restarting my computer, but to no avail. I tried to go to my Origin Games Library and right-clicked on TS3, but the "Repair Game" option was greyed out. This is crazy annoying. I've spent a lot of money on all these EPs, I've played them before without any problems. I can see them in Origin, but they won't show up in the TS3 launcher.

It seems like there might be some confusion regarding your account details so I would suggest to reach out to an EA Advisor via EA Help. Make sure that you select your country of residence in the upper left corner when setting up your contact.

Origin doesn't have a place to reinstall or download games people have already paid for. It's all a scam and a joke. Thousands and Thousands of people are having this issue and EA/Origin keeps telling everyone to reprogram their computers or their game. Instead of simply fixing the Origin site. I hope to see you people sued big time one day for this and exposed in the Media.

@kittiekatjack Can you be more specific about what isn't working? Which packs don't show up, which ones do, where did you buy each of them, etc. It would also help to know what troubleshooting steps you've taken so far.

I tried all other solutions suggested in the past threads that involved the Origin launcher to no avail, I opened a support ticket and talked to an EA advisor that said lots of people are having this issue and the developers are working to solve it.

@aac85d9cf262b48c This happens when someone's product codes are revoked or made invalid, for one reason or another. The only fix is to go back to support (again, sorry) and ask about the status of your packs, not only whether they're still on your account but whether their codes are active and valid.

If the new support rep brushes you off again, please post back here. I can't do anything about it, but an EA community manager might be able to help, for example telling you how to word things better or just confirming that this is a problem for support to solve. It's a holiday weekend in the U.S., so it may take a couple of days to get a reply, but someone will see your thread if you post back.

I contacted EA and they just copied/pasted link how to find missing content lol. That's so stupid. I've been playing sims since they were released, and recently felt bored with TS4 so decided to get some more EPs for TS3... all worlds from Store (purchased in EA APP) have status "Content in game" but it's not even visible in launcher. One EP is totally not recognized by it. I tried to repair the game, uninstall this one EP and install it again, eventually I reinstalled entire game and NOTHING!

Worlds are not add-on... it's DLC/CC... it should be installed as .sims3pack... Something went wrong in EA way of thinking when updating to patch 1.69 and then not giving a f. about players who spend their money on not playable games while still offering them in their store.

As you can see i have a number of sims 3 expansion packs, all installed via origin with keys, but only these 4 show up in my launcher, despite origin listing them as installed and them being in the correct file(s) tried reinstalling, deleting and installing separately, repairing the game, hell i even totally deleted sims 3 then ccleaned my PC. still nothing, patch 1.69

Origin is finicky and can sometimes act up for no apparent reason. Try uninstalling and reinstalling Origin only, which will not affect your installed games. You could also try clearing Origin's cache.

It's not usually a solution to this kind of problem, but you might try dragging your TS3 folder out of Documents and renaming it. The game will spawn a new folder with no content upon launch; perhaps this folder will work better for you.

@Ivybalde You don't need to use the launcher to install your packs; that's Origin's job. You just check the boxes that appear in the launcher to choose which installed packs you want active when TS3 loads. Hopefully you've quit and relaunched Origin and the game? And rebooted your PC a couple of times? Surprisingly, sometimes that's all it takes to fix this issue.

You can also try clearing Origin's cache, or even uninstalling and reinstalling it (this would not affect the installs of TS3 or any other games you have). Perhaps something is getting lost in translation between Origin and the game.

Since you bought your packs directly through Origin, it's unlikely that there's a block on your account from EA's side, but it's always a possibility. If you can't make your packs appear, it might be useful for you to contact EA customer support to have someone on that end have a look at your account.

Ever since switching to the EA App, my Sims 3 won't launch with all my DLC, despite the fact that the EA App shows them as purchased and downloaded. When I try to launch from the EA App, I get a message that says "An error on our end is preventing the game from launching. Please try again later." I can get the launcher to open by clicking play through the "My Collections" page but when the launcher actually opens, half of my packs are missing with no option to download them. Also the store content that I have previously purchased will not install. I'm very confused and don't know how to go about fixing this.

@SimCryptid On the welcome page click expansions and stuff then in the lower right of the welcome page click don't see your packs - then see if you can install missing packs. On the load game page click the three ... in the lower left (options) /and click open downloads dashboard. I was using the EA app and about 2 weeks ago my store items would not stay installed so I reinstalled Origin and game is now working again.

Keep in mind that deleting the Downloads folder will remove all downloaded Sims3Packs, including custom content; deleting DCCache will remove all content installed through the launcher, including cc; and that deleting InstalledWorlds will remove any custom worlds. You should definitely delete the DCBackup folder regardless. If you don't want to remove your cc, go into DCCache and delete everything except the files ending in .dbc, delete the store content downloads inside Downloads (or put the entire folder somewhere else), and only delete the worlds inside InstalledWorlds that are from the store.

@SimCryptid About 2 weeks ago my store items uninstalled themselves from the EA app. For three days I tried everything I could think of and the store items would not stay installed. You could install the items but if you close the game and restart the game the items would uninstall. I found in old Origin installer in my downloads folder. Finally I reinstalled Origin and did a clean install of my game and my game has worked again - just tried it before this post. I realize I will probably have to switch back to the EA app sooner or later but I'm holding back until I know it will finally work. There is a post dated today that EA fixed something so in the next few days I'll take my old gaming machine and see if the EA app is working. I'm of the school of if it ain't broke don't fix it. EA needs the EA app for mac users and maybe (not sure on this) Steam users. My problems started in December when my store items uninstalled themselves and I switched to the EA app that worked great until early February when my store items suddenly uninstalled themselves again. I can't tell you how many times I've uninstalled and reinstalled this game since this started in December. I'm in the process of replacing my old gaming computer. It's not just one computer it's my old gaming rig, my new gaming rig, and my wife's computer. And me being the neighborhood go to guy for computers that's ummm well a lot of computers. With a sleet storm forecast Thursday night I may not get to this until the weekend.

I originally got the seasons expansion pack for sims 3 through a disc I bought. I used to play sims 3 on the origin app before it got removed so I reinstalled sims 3 and all the content I have for it using the EA app and even though the EA app states that I own the seasons expansion pack, it no longer shows up on my sims 3 launcher and I cannot use it. Is there a way to fix this? I also own the pets expansion pack and the movie stuff pack which show up on my launcher, while seasons doesn't.
