Graphtecu2019s best selling line of vinyl cutters, cutting plotters, data loggers. Graphtec is world\u2019s well known in roll-feed cutters, flatbed cutters, desktop cutters, digital cutters, large-medium-small best cutting performance in cutting industry machines.

My AI just updated to 2024, the plug-in for Cutting Master 4 did not transfer over from the AI 2023 version. I really like CM4 more than CM5. CM5 is still new and a little buggy. I have tryed uninstalling CM4 and reinstalling it with AI shut down. It still didnt add the plug-in. So I went to Graphtec's website and looked at the system requirements for both CM4 and CM5, nither one say they support AI 2024.

I actually reinstalled AI 2023, and the CM4 plug in is working just fine now. And yes AI2023 is supported with CM4, Here is a link to the info i found, _download/cm4/cm4_std_en_w.html , not sure why the site you are looking at doesnt show 2023. I have been using it for a few months now and it works better than CM5, they still have bugs to work out so i wont use it yet.

I just ran into this issue with our computers at work. I know you found a workaround using CM4, but if for some reason you should need to run CM5, the winning combination is to have AI 27.9 and CM5 1.0.272 or older installed together. Graphtec isn't showing the older versions being available on their US site, but the mygraphtec.jp site still has CM5 1.0.197 available ( _download/cm5/cm5_en_w.html). It took me a couple days of diving into the issue when I had a moment to

I understand the importance of the Cutting Master 4 plugin for your business, and I'm sorry to hear about the compatibility issue you're facing. Third-party plugins like Cutting Master 4 are developed and maintained by their respective manufacturers, and compatibility with specific software versions is determined by them. In this case, it seems that Cutting Master 4 may not currently support Adobe Illustrator 2024.

Previous Illustrator Version: You mentioned that the Cutting Master 4 plugin worked in AI 2023. If possible, you can try to install the previous version of Illustrator alongside the latest one. Adobe Creative Cloud allows you to have multiple versions of Adobe applications on your computer. This way, you can continue using AI 2023 with Cutting Master 4 while exploring AI 2024 for other tasks.

Contact Graphtec: Reach out to Graphtec, the manufacturer of Cutting Master, through their contact page. Inquire about their plans to update the plugin for compatibility with Adobe Illustrator 2024. They may have information about their development schedule.

I understand that these solutions may not be ideal, but they could serve as temporary workarounds until Cutting Master 4 is updated for AI 2024 compatibility. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best in resolving this issue to keep your business running smoothly.

Ohh and i forgot to mention, i have sent in an email yesterday to Graphtec about when they will have the Cutting Master plug-in available for AI2024, im just waiting for they to reply, i will update this once i hear back from them.

I'm glad you were able to reinstall AI 2023 and get the Cutting Master 4 plugin working. Thanks for sharing the link to the compatibility information; it's indeed a valuable resource for other users who might face similar issues. Your decision to wait until CM5 has resolved its bugs is a wise one, as it's essential to use stable software for your business.

Also, reaching out to Graphtec about the availability of the Cutting Master plugin for AI 2024 is a proactive step. Their response will provide clarity on when you can expect compatibility with the latest Adobe Illustrator version.

*Graphtec is estimating having a fix for AI2024 towards the end of November apparently..

I have just had the same issue, There is a way around it! Find the plugins folder form your left over AI 23 files in applications. Copy the CM4 plugin folder. Then open your new AI 24 applications folder, navigate to plugins and drop the copied CM4 plugin into there. Close down your illustator program (if you havent already) then reopen it, the plugin should get intigrated and you can continue to use CM4 in Adobe Illustrator 24

I am so new here.. but need help. I have a Graptec cutter ce7000 I was doing fine.. then cutter master 5 update and new AI update and now I can't do anything. Could you guide me to get this working or am I just outta luck?

I operate with windows 11 and tried downloading Cutting Master 4 but the site only had 5 available to me. And it has the design studio 2 I guess is for the design portion of the two. These were only available on the Graphtec America's website where I downloaded the driver to my cutter. But There needs to be the printer driver 1st which will print and then I would be able to cut. So I do have a 1324 Mutoh printer and a Graphtec FC9000, both 54 inch and would like to print and cut from Adobe Ilustrator using the afore mention software.

Ok so I just bought the graphtec robo pro. I have it hooked up and it shows in devices under printers. I go into my adobe illustrator and send my file to cutting master 3. I then send it to the cutter, and it just sits on syncing. I have not been able to print anything on this cutter and I'm just about ready to throw it through the window.

I am having the same issue. I have tried everything... I have a Graphtec CE5000-120 - I am trying to cut using Graphtec Studio but it won't sync. I have GP-GL set on the cutter, I have tried resetting the cutter, I have cleared the que. I have even uninstalled everything and started over from scratch.... I'm connected via USB. The driver is installed and says the device is working. I can run a test through Cutting Plotter Controller. But when I try to connect to the cutter through Graphtec Studio it just says Syncing, forever. Does anyone have any other ideas on how to fix this?

same issue. My plotter is a ce5000-60. since i installed the Cutting master 3, the issue started. it was working just fine, but because of new illustrator version, it demands you to use the Cutting master 3. tried everything you have mention. it just remains syncin...

I had this same issue with my CE5000-60. When I finally managed to get a hold of tech support, I was told that since it's an older model, new versions of CM3 won't work with it and I have to use CM2 (lame). I'm going to see if I can find a download for an older version of CM3 somewhere, because that's what I used to use on my previous computer with no problems at all.

Have a file in illustrator it's 24x36 with registration marks. when I send the file to the cutting master 5 it error with Contour cutting is not supported for multi-page design. The file is one art board. I've searched with my GhD. (google doctorate, LOL) and found something from 2011 about the same error that made no sense. I cannot figure out why it's thinking it's multi-page. I went in and tried to poll the cutter and it always says "cutter not ready" so I adjusted the page size manually, then re-sent the file, when the file is in the software, and the error is up, I cannot change the settings as they're all greyed out. If anyone knows how to get around this please let me know,

As soon as you wrote Mac, you lost here. Most anyone here is a Windows user that answers questions . And don't know of anyone using Cutting Master 5. There is only a couple handful of members here that answers questions. Graphtec provided you with a GREAT over $1000 design and cutting software FREE with your purchase. WINDOWS ONLY., if purchased new. Which is designed by the creators of FlexisignPro, (SAI), without the RIP. GRAPHTEC PRO STUDIO. Grab a windows computer and you will be much further ahead. There is support for that. You could also use Bootcamp or whatever else you can use on a Mac computer to use a Windows program. We are a bunch of old timers here, who don't need to upgrade to newer software. I am still back on an XP laptop on a purchased new 2008 Graphtec FC7000., using Flexistarter 8.6, Plus I have an FC8000, We have no need for the newest soft wares. Or upgraded Windows. Most users who come here, get their questions answered, if we can, and they move on.

this cutter is in the Art department here at the university. So Mac based it is and we can't use bootcamp and It has to be a Ventura or newer OS, as that is required by our ISO department. So. this is the plan have to keep on .

If the design is exactly 24" wide, and you are using 24" wide vinyl, your design is probably bigger than the cutter will allow. When you load the vinyl does the cutter detect the edges of the vinyl? If so, it should also report to the software, or maybe on the cutter screen what the width is. My guess the width being detected by the cutter is closer to 23.5.
