Working on new pieces (a glimpse at the future!)

Hello all!

Thanks for reading! This is just a quick note that I am working on new
pieces quite rabidly- even foaming at the mouth a little.

Jewelry:

We attended a rock, gem and mineral show today. Sadly my budget didn't
permit me to buy up everything that I wanted to, but I still invested
a good chunk in new stones to use. I will be working on pieces with
the following types of stones:

+Labradorites! Lots! Here's a sneak peek of some of my new stones. I
stumbled upon a supplier at the gem show that has some of the very
BEST pieces of labradorite/spectrolite/moonstone that I have ever
witnessed. Check out the colors on these! Purple?! Wow!

+ Moonstones (I lump these in with Labradorite)
+ Labradorite drop beads. These are a medium grade labradorite- lots
of flash but not as nicely polished. This means I can make some less
expensive pendants with these that still have a lot of fire and life,
but for far less than my AAA quality pieces.
+ Turquoise. I have a handful of what I hesitantly call 'brown
dragonskin' turquoise. It has mottling colors of brown, aqua,
turquoise and green. Unique and pretty.
+ Faceted quartz stones. I have some faceted smoky quartz, some lovely
pale gold/green, and a really interesting bicolor piece that is green
and yellow.
+ I have a small selection of other stones I hope to work on too.

I like to sit and make pendants for several days at a time and then
photo and list them on my website in one huge lump. Photographing them
and listing them up takes a day all by itself so I like to be able to
do a bunch at once. Hopefully I'll have them done and listed within a
week or three.


Artwork:

I will be attending Anthrocon in Pittsburgh, PA, both as a dealer and
as an artist in the art show. I'm getting a bunch of art ready for
show so I have time to mat and frame some of it. The show is in late
June this year.
