Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a fantastic spring.
Where I live, the weather sure has been odd. We had a very unusually
warm March, and now we are back to dreary and cold again. It's been
wreaking havoc on my garden! It's caused a lot of insects to come out
earlier than normal, but now they are sluggish and cold. That's okay
with my chickens, as they love to snatch up slow moving meals...!
I recently crafted a small batch of jewelry for a local show that I
attended last weekend. Due to weather, the turnout was very poor...
which is good news for my website, because it means I have all the
pendants to post up! I've updated my shop with 10 new pendants this
evening. You're the first to know about them!

I have also been working on a new, fun thing. Anyone that knows me
knows that I am a bird nut, and have been since I could walk. All
these years, I have been collecting (legal to own) feathers as birds
molt them... from pets, to the birds I worked with during my career,
to people's chickens, and now my chickens! This has left me with a
large number of feathers, and I hate to think of them sitting in a
drawer with no one to enjoy them. To this end, I've started making one
of a kind feather hair clips, using only my best feathers along with
silver plated findings, and of course only real gemstones! I have a
small group made up and I will post them for sale in the next day or
three. If this sounds like your thing, be sure to check back on my
store this week to see this new category!
I have ordered some findings to create feathered and wire-wrapped
earrings soon too... those will come in the next month or so.
Speaking of upcoming things, I have several shows planned for this
year! If you are in the area, please feel free to stop by and say
hello. It sure would be an honor to meet any one of you!!
