Yesterday I updated my iPhone 7 to iOS13.1 and now my 2015 Audi A3 mmi is not able to control the apple music. The screen appears as normal and I can see all of the playlists. The bump forward/reverse on the volume knob doesn't do anything and the dial to choose songs will move and highlight a song but it won't select the music. I have tried a hard restart on both the Audi system and my iPhone. The toggle features work on the radio and the CD player. I think it's an apple issue. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Since Apple Music as a whole is also having issues, try removing the Apple Music app then installing it again: Remove built-in Apple apps from the Home screen on your iOS 10 device or Apple Watch - Apple Support

I lost my entire library of music. That really is bad considering I pay for a premium music subscription. Not even an apology. As a known problem is happening I would suggest Apple Music customers be compensated for this complete waste of time of compiling music in a paid service to shockingly lose everything. How disappointing.

I have this exact same issue. 2017 Audi TTS here. iOS 13 was just fine, iOS 13.1 completely removed my ability to select tracks via the car or use my previous/next track buttons on the steering wheel. These are normal, iTunes purchased tracks played through the built-in Music app. I also tried this with my roommates iPhone before updating to iOS 13 (worked just fine), and it's the same problem after he updated to iOS 13.1.1. Please fix this bug!!!

I have the exact same issue in my A4. Not only are there malfunctions with iTunes but also other apps- Skype, Open Table, Aera, etc. Apple needs to fix this and fully get out the bugs before launching.

I have the same exact issue... 2018 Audi SQ5. I can change tracks using forward and reverse but the control wheel on the MMI does nothing when selecting songs. Also the steering wheel scroll button does not work when selecting music from the center virtual cockpit screen. I am running 13.1.2 on an iPhone 11 Pro. Apple please help.

The problem is not only if you use bluetooth connection, it also presists if you use the Audi AMI Interface cable - lightning adapter. Apple brought this problem with iOS 13.1. Earlier iOS versions even 13.0 does not have this track skipping problem. The problem happens with different iphone models, i tried iphone 6Splus, iphone X and iphone 11 pro max. There is no point of sending the people to Audi and let them complain about the problem. BMW, Mercedes and other car brands have the same issue with the latest ios update. People buy iphones because of the stable compatibility with most of the popular car brands. Apple broke this compatibility with ios 13.1, please fix the bug!!!

yes, older iOS versions are not signed any more, you cant downgrade the phone.. Yesterday's iOS Update 13.1.3 "fixes an issue where Bluetooth may disconnect on certain vehicles" and I hoped they addressed the track skipping issue as well, but had no luck. I hope that Apple is aware of this bug and fixes it.. Music control within a Playlist is completely messed up...

"Audi" is a song by American rapper Smokepurpp. It was released on May 17, 2017, as the lead single from his debut mixtape Deadstar. The track is considered one of his breakout singles, along with "Ski Mask".[1]

The track received generally positive reviews from music critics. Patrick Montes of Hypebeast called the song "unorthodox".[3] Lindsey India of XXL called the track a "fan favorite" whilst also congratulating him on the single being certified Gold by the RIAA.[4] David Drake of Pitchfork called the instrumental for the song "thundering".[5] Julian Robles of HotNewHipHop said Smokepurpp showed "primo ignorance" on the track.[6]

I am having the same exact issue on 2016 Acura TLX. I use the knob to browse and populate my playlist but when I select a song, it doesn't play or do anything. I've tried USB mode as well and it does the same exact thing. Started happening around a month or two ago so I'm assuming iOS 16.4.

The MMI knob functions with iOS 16.4.1 and Apple CarPlay with an Audi infotainment system, for volume, for on-off, and for forward and reverse. Same for the steering wheel audio controls. This CarPlay connected via Bluetooth, and in or out of the Qi charger. If y'all aren't using CarPlay, try that.

i contacted apple support was passed on to the tech "experts " was told to teset my phone to rule out update but still didn' t work ,totally frustrating ,had to reinstall from cloud lost all passwords on appps and phone still function with MMI ,I have contacted support again but seem to be getting ignored

today I have installed last update 16.5.1 and all problems was fixed. I have Iphone 11 Pro and before the current update I couldn't toggle song, increase/decrease volume, screen was stuck on "Loading....".

Check for and apply the latest MMI firmware updates, and unpair the MMI from CarPlay on the iPhone, and (if it still shows) also unpair the iPhone from the MMI itself, unpairing both at both ends, and try re-pairing again.

Apple Music Family Sharing was working fine with the MMI I was using, and with multiple paired devices. This was with the CarPlay interface and that including the wheel controls and the MMI knob and Siri. Apple Music playlists are kept private anyway, so at least that should not be involved in any communications with the MMI.

Audi mmi of my q5 wont toggle the songs post ios 16.2 upgrade. You can navigate to the playlist and go to the desired song but it wont play it. Seen this has happened with one of the ios 13 roll out too. The apple updates fix the problem. Please help.

Recently I have problems with spotify and Audi MMI.
When playing music via bluetooth, the progress bar sometimes gets stuck. Sometimes when changing songs using the steering wheel buttons, the song name gets stuck (the same song is displayed continuously).
Music plays normally during these problems, and the controls also work. The only problem is displaying information about the song.

The folks at our tech team are currently looking into this, so make sure to vote for the Ongoing Issue here, if you haven't already. Make sure to provide us with the info we're asking for in the Status update in the comments.

Through case study of controversies in the music industry, students learn about the cultures and institutions of music and the ethical considerations applied to creation, distribution, and consumption of music. Students learn to advocate for ethical individual and societal responses to resolve or address these dilemmas. GCP Coding: (SSHB) (ETH).

This course will survey the development of the "protest song" from the 19th century to the beginning of the 21st. The course will take an interdisciplinary approach to explore the synergy of words and music into a powerful communication tool in the struggle for change. It is not a course in music history or composition. Students will examine examples of protest songs and consider the song's socio/political impact, the life of its composer/performer, the ethical values expressed, and the song's place in history. Songs from social struggles including slavery, racial equality, the rise of labor unions, LGBTQ rights and anti-war protests will form the core of the course content. Although the course will focus on the protest song in America, it will also touch on its global role in other countries such as South Africa and Russia. The central question to be considered is "How have songs been used as a tool to effect social and political change and have they been effective?"

Course work includes weekly lectures, reading and listening assignments; participation in a discussion group; and writing projects that focus on analysis of songs and their role in social struggles in America and beyond. Course may be repeated if content varies. Content for this course does not vary significantly from term to term. GCP Coding: (SSHB) (WCOM).

Through the examination and analysis of podcasts, students explore the contexts and contents of this communication medium from both historical and contemporary perspectives. Students will learn introductory production techniques and develop skills necessary for successful podcast creation and distribution. In this course, each student will individually create and release a series of podcasts. GCP Coding: (ARTS) (OCOM).

Through the viewing and discussion of films, students learn about the technical history of film sound, and explore how the technologies available have changed directors' and sound engineers' creative choices, and ability to affect the overall experience, both historically and in contemporary film. Students will learn to analyze the soundtracks of film through discussion and independent viewing. Students will present their own analysis of the audio component of scenes from film and use relevant content to develop and explore ideas regarding the aesthetic choices or the soundtrack. GCP Coding: (ARTS) (WCOM).
