When was the AhlulBayt
Islamic Mission
founded and where is it based?
The AhlulBayt Islamic
Mission
was founded in the winter of 2003 by a group of dedicated Muslims in
London (UK). Hoping to sacrifice their time for the path of their
Lord, they embarked on a mission in preparation for the return of the
Awaited One,
Imam Al-Mahdi (AF). Today, it has active members across
Britain.
How will the AhlulBayt Islamic
Mission achieve its objectives?
Preparation for the imminent return of the Imam (AF) can be achieved
through various means. We feel that our strategic position in the
Western World provides us with many avenues not yet explored. These
include the active participation in the Media and having a more
dominant role in Propagation to the Non-Muslim communities. There is
also a great need for Islamic revival in the Ummah, incorporating the
social, religious and political fields.
Why the need for the AhlulBayt
Islamic Mission?
With
the growing political and social unrest in the World and the
corruption in the Muslim communities in particular, we feel the only
legitimate solution left is to prepare for the return of our Imam
(AF), who will fill the Earth with righteousness and justice after it
has been plagued with corruption and oppression. The Prophet Muhammad
(SAW) said, "The best deed of my Ummah is awaiting the return" and the
Imam of our time Al-Mahdi (AF) said, "In my return shall be your
return."
What is the difference
between the AhlulBayt Islamic Mission
and other organisations?
The AhlulBayt Islamic
Mission
is not simply an
organisation,
but an inspiring vision in the hope of providing Islamic revival in a
time where oppression has plagued the world. We seek to
provide a united front for the Muslims by working alongside the many
organisations in order to make the best use of resources already
available. In addition we hope to enable smaller societies and bodies
with the opportunity to grow and succeed in their aims.
What is the current structure of AhlulBayt
Islamic Mission?
At the present time
AIM
has two main branches; the Media Office and the
Student Affairs Board.
The Media Office is designed to be the vocal piece of the movement,
acting as a Media Watchdog,
providing Islamic solutions to social/political problems
and works to promote the
true message of Islam to Muslims and Non-Muslims alike, by a variety
of means and new techniques.
The Student
Affairs Board is a support service for Muslim students and Muslim
Societies at University.
