2015 - a new home, and a break up

We hope all our supporters had a restorative and rejuvenating holiday season shared with family, friends and South Australia's natural wonders.

We are off to a busy start at Conservation SA! As you read this we are moving into our new home The Joinery at 111 Franklin Street - formerly the old bus interchange.

It is obvious how excited people are about a space that connects community and environment, and how eager they are to be involved in creating it.
Earlier this month dozens of wonderful volunteers rolled up their sleeves to paint walls, lay carpet, and even clean bathrooms. We also had a fantastic co-design workshop late last year with a great range of people sharing amazing ideas for the outside space. Thank you!

There is still a lot of work to be done onsite before our public launch in a couple of months.
This is just the beginning. The ways YOU can become a part of The Joinery are really only limited to your imagination. All offers, ideas and helping hands welcome!

This year, break up with fossil fuels

Join the Global Divestment Day in Adelaide on Friday, February 13

Dear friends,

Acting on climate change is more urgent than ever – and YOU can take that action. This year, YOU can break up with fossil fuels.

We are taking part in the Global Divestment Day on Friday February 13th and invite you to join us.

People around the world are divesting funds from institutions that invest in fossil fuels as a way to send a clear message that we need to act on dangerous climate change. Have a look at some of the great resources from the team at Market Forces.

On February 13th, Adelaide will be joining forces with the world to break up with fossil fuels at a gathering and march in the middle of the city. This is an opportunity to demonstrate that everyone and anyone can take real steps to act on climate change.

WhatDivestment Day gathering and Mall march with speakers and special guests.

When: 11:00am, Friday February 13th

Where: Rundle Mall, corner of King William Street

Invite others: can you invite 5 friends to join you? Simply forward this email or invite friends to the facebook event.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Can we count you in? Join the event here!
