Hey SASEN & FEAG folks,

I hope you have all been well.
Please find below information on 2 events next week on faith & climate change that some of you may be interested in.
No matter what faith you hold, you are welcome at these events (ie: I'm not religious at all).
I will hopefully be at the Tuesday event.

There is also a stakeholder forum for the People's Jobs, Justice & Climate March to help with building the main event and making sure as many groups as possible are represented.
SASEN & FEAG are certainly 2 groups I reckon could contribute a lot.
It's on 6pm, October 28th @ the Joinery, 111 Franklin St. See the forum's facebook event here.

[The actual Job's, Justice, Climate March (PJJCM) is on November 29th. Please join, invite & share the PJJCM fb event!!!]

Cheers,
Cristel

While science has the technical solutions, spirituality and faith will give communities the will to act effectively. Tackling climate change is the greatest challenge and opportunity for humanity in the 21st Century.

This is a forum with a difference. A multifaith and multidimensional approach to appeal for spiritual leadership on climate change. Five invited speakers from major faith communities and one senior climate scientist will share their views on the impacts climate change will have on us and how our faith and our communities are central to motivate us to bring about effective action on climate change.

The MultiFaith Association of South Australia has over the past contemplated the implications of climate change and faith. The letter titled Humanity at the Crossroads: An appeal to spiritual leadership on climate change and this forum are the culmination of this work by the Multifaith Association.

This forum is interactive with audience participation encouraged. All faith communities and spiritual leaders are invited to attend. Come with some ideas and questions, and be prepared to walk away feeling empowered and motivated.  Register online for this free event

I've attached a flier for John's Deep Ecology event, and one also for the MFA SA Appeal for spiritual Leadership on Climate Change - Humanity at the Crossroads.

Come along to both events if you can - both are free and valuable contributions to our collective determination to tackle climate change for the benefit of all

Please spread the word!!!
In Peace - for the earth,

Philippa Rowland
