Hello,

I'm trying to create a fire scenario similar to "single room evacuation" on p. 75 examples of the manual pyrosim but in a different building.

After having tried several times asks me this error EVHO line EVHO problem with iMesh, no mesh found

Can you help me?
Thank you,
Maria do Rosário

Maria, have you checked Z coordinates? Can you paste your evac mesh and EVHO line here?

It is:

&MESH ID='test1', FYI='tes1', IJK=557,736,1, XB=2266.65,2304.2,1035.18,1084.81,-6.5,-0.5, EVACUATION=.TRUE., EVAC_HUMANS=.TRUE., EVAC_Z_OFFSET=1.0/

and after i describe my building i have:

&VENT SURF_ID='Outflow', XB=2304.23,2304.23,1078.41,1080.21,-6.5,-0.5, EVACUATION=.TRUE., MESH_ID='test1'/ Vent01

&PERS ID='Pessoa', DEFAULT_PROPERTIES='Adult', DET_EVAC_DIST=0, DET_MEAN=15.0, PRE_EVAC_DIST=0, PRE_MEAN=0.0/

&EXIT ID='exit01', FYI='exit01', XB=2304.24,2304.24,1078.41,1080.21,-6.5,-0.5, COUNT_ONLY=.TRUE., IOR=-2, MESH_ID='test1', VENT_FFIELD='test1', FLOW_FIELD_ID='test1'/

&EVAC ID='test1', XB=2113.08,2304.24,943.952,1085.01,-6.5,-0.5, MESH_ID='test1', NUMBER_INITIAL_PERSONS=50, PERS_ID='Pessoa', AVATAR_RGB=51,102,255, KNOWN_DOOR_NAMES='exit01', KNOWN_DOOR_PROBS=0.0/

Maria, I have not tried it, but the XMAX of evac mesh does not match XMAX of EVHO, it is slightly off.

I think this is the problem because--- an EVHO can be smaller than the EVAC mesh (contained with-in), but if the EVHO exceeds the mesh it cannot be found. And I am just curious, why such a "deep" evac mesh (6m)?

I have not tried making the changes you suggested.

I put 6m because it is the height of my floor but I haven´t experience in pyrosim, may be it is a mistake. Am I correct?

Thanks for your help

not necessarily a mistake, but if my fire mesh was 0,10, 0,10, 0,6, I would make my evac mesh 0,10, 0,10, 1,1.2.
It is maybe a preference, and it is not a pyrosim issue, but something I got from early FDS+EVAC User Guide.

Back at the office after eight months leave. The IMESH not found error is due to the
fact that FDS+Evac input reader can not plase the EVHO XB (or DOOR XB, or EXIT XB,
of EVAC XB,...) in any main evacuation mesh. So the XB z-coordinates should  fit to
the corresponding evacuation mesh. Well also the x and y should fit, but usually the
problem is the z-coordinates:

An example: a 10 m x 10 m x 2 m room => fire mesh XB=0,10, 0,10, 0,2
evacuation mesh (for example) XB=0,10, 0,10, 0.4,1.6, so the z is not "real"
room dimension here. This means that a real DOOR at x=0.0, Y=4.0-5.0m,
height 1.8m should not have XB=0,0, 4,5, 0,1.8. It should have
XB=0,0, 4,5, 0.4,1.6 (or anything else in z direction that belongs to
the interval 0.4 m - 1.6 m).

Hope that this helps.
