Hi
I am planning to do a fire suppression system in an atrium, and i heard that if the height of the building is more than 50 feet means sprinkler system is no effective,So in this scenerio how can i model the fire suppression system. any ideas or reference will be greatly helpful.

P.S: am planing to place the sprinklers on the sides of the compartment on all the floor so that if there is fire in the atrium the sprinkler can activate and suppress the fire.

Thank you in advance.

Model it like you would any sprinkler system. Specify the locations of the sprinklers and the means by which they activate. The issue with high ceiling heights is low plume temperatures at the ceiling.
