Combustion efficiency in FDS

Does FDS consider combustion efficiency? or FDS assumes fuels combust completely. I find a reference which mention a combustion efficiency of 0.7 assuming 30% residual char.
I would appreciate if any one can give an answer?

Search the FDS Tech Manual for CO_YIELD and SOOT_YIELD.  In v5, there are default values.  In v6, the user must explicitly state both their fuel and their reaction system.

Are you asking whether or not FDS can account for the fact that some materials leave a residue behind when they burn?  If so the answer is yes, but you need to define your inputs appropriately.  See the Tech Guide and User's Guide sections on the combustion model and the solid phase model.
