1. Empty notepad file should be fine.

2. The simulation will stop once it finishes a full radiation cycle, which may take several time steps.

I would like to stop a fds file having the possibility to save the file when I stop it. I have the User guide and I ve understand that I can put a CHID.stop file and it stops and save. I have 2 questions:

1. The file CHID.stop can be created naming an empty notepad file?

2. Once the CHID.stop is copied in the folder, should the simulation stop and save automatically?( I tried with a simulation but didn't stopped, that's because I am asking)

3. How can I resume the simulation, once it is stopped with the CHID.stop?

Is the file named ATF_Corridors_050_kW.stop or ATF_Corridors_050_kW.stop.txt ?

Did you literally call the file "CHID.stop"?  Here CHID should be replaced by whatever you have set in your input file

&HEAD CHID='ATF_Corridors_050_kW', ...

The file should be called ATF_Corridors_050_kW.stop
