fds input response

i have created a input data in fds software but i can't get response of the soot density in smv so anybody help me.

Can you see a fire? Do you see increased temperature and velocity using the SLCF (slice) files?

This case works for me with FDS 6.8 -- it runs, soot is produced, and I can load it in smokeview using:

 

right click -> Load/Unload -> 3D Smoke -> Soot Density (8700)  

Are you using the current release?

i can't see only the soot density in the output other than that i can see temperature and velocity

Yes fire is visible but the smoke spread is not seen in the smoke view

Is there any changes do be done in input to get the smoke???

I'm not near a computer right now so this is from memory, but there is an option in one of the dialogs to reset 3d fire parameters to FDS default. I've had to click this occasionally when I've been unable to see the soot.

It may be in the file/data dialog but I'm not sure.

Load your soot density file then open the File/Data/Coloring dialog.

Under Data there is "3D smoke" and under that there is "smoke/fire opacity"  and a button labeled "reset (fds extinct)".

It might help...
