I need to define some parameters for CLT (wood) material in Pyrosim. I am having a hard time figuring out what values to input here:

Anyone who knows what values to input or where to find it? For example "Reference Temperature" is that ignition temperature?

Thanks in advance

Quiting  User Guide § 11.5.2 Reaction Rates # Estimating Kinetic Parameters

" Note that the REFERENCE_TEMPERATURE is not the same as an ignition temperature, nor is it necessarily the surface temperature of the burning solid."

"it is simply the temperature at which the mass fraction of the material decreases at its maximum rate"
How can i find it for wood?

I would suggest checking the SFPE handbook first. It might be also different for the type of wood.

The REFERENCE_TEMPERATURE is found from TGA data. It is the temperature where the mass loss rate is greatest. I don't think the SFPE Handbook would have this information.

You are not going to find much in the way of detailed kinetic data for pyrolysis reactions in the SFPE handbook. You will need to either make measurements yourself for the specific material you are modeling or do a literature search of journals, theses, technical reports, etc. These properties do vary somewhat depending on the specific type of wood. You may also need to consider the issue of delamination. If this is important for your specific analysis, it will introduce additional challenges of having to develop a method for modeling that in FDS.
