severe (24): end of file during read

Since I've changed SURF ID to SURF_ID (added the underline), when executing the fds file, 

1) on cluster, it shows 'Fortran runtime error: End of file'

2) on PC, showing 'a forrtl: severe (24): end of file during read, unit 5, ..'

How can I solve this? The reason of using the underline is just to give a run on cluster. If using without underline (on cluster), I'd get an error saying 'Problem with SURF number 1'

Any advice is appreciated.

SURF ID is not a valid input which is why you get the "Problem" error when using it.  Getting an "End of file" error when you change to SURF_ID suggests that FDS is unable to locate then end of an input somewhere in your input file.  Check for a missing quote on a string or a slash at the end of an input.
