I am trying to better design the physics of a burning candle using Blender FDS latest version to export a better approximation of a candle as two cylinders, one solid and one empty with "Solidify" used to draw the "glass" container wall.
When I use OBST and Voxels to export the physical candle, it works fine, but it is clunky with a 5mm mesh.
I tried to use GEOM to make a nice shaped candle, I am certain that the hollow cylinder and the candle cylinder do not overlap, however I keep getting an error.
I am running a code with 8 mesh made using MULT. I don't think there are bugs in other parts of the code, as it will run with the OBST and voxels. The GEOM has a SURF_ID which links it to a SURF code with HT3D=.TRUE. and color and MATL ID with properties, but no thickness.
I checked sanity on the GEOM before exporting.
It runs for one time step then gives the following error repeating for each mesh:
Time Step: 1, Simulation Time: 0.02 s
forrtl: severe (157): Program Exception - access violation
