What's the proper XB and DX to make stem here?

Hello, I just began to study about this simulator, and I have a question.
I want to make stem under this crown, I know where to put , but i can't make it appear. 
I need help.

You have a grid resolution of 1 m and a "radius" of 0.3 in your cylinder.  I would not worry about mult in this case and just make one OBST that acts as the stem.  Easiest to just add THICKEN=T.  For example,

&OBST -0.5,0.5,-0.5,0.5,0,2, SURF_ID='shape', THICKEN=T/
