Thanks, I should update all input files there, when
FDS 5.5 is released, soon I hope (end of Feb?).

From the input file:

Now just the evacuation geometry is specified. No fire mesh at all.
&MESH IJK=90,60,30, XB= -6.2,11.8, -0.2,11.8, 0.0,6.0, ID='FireMesh' /

I think that I usually run without the fire mesh (no "&" above).
Thus, I did not notice that the fire mesh was sealed and that
is not always good for a fds run. The problem might also be
that some evacuation mesh is totally inside some fire mesh,
(or was it the other way around), see the discussion thread:
http://groups.google.com/group/fds-smv/browse_thread/thread/3833c2a732807a8e#
"FDS+EVAC: "Access violation" error". This bug is fixed for
the next maintenance/minor release of FDS (fds 5.4.4 or 5.5.0,
which ever will be the next one).
