About splitting the mesh area

Hello,

I've split the mesh as shown in the picture below.
The burning bloc+surface is also split in the same way at the same X coordinate.
The mesh size on either side of the meshed area are the same.

Would you say that splitting that way could heavily influence the results? Should I stick just stick to having one big mesh area instead?

Sandia validation cases involves meshes that split the burner area.  https://github.com/firemodels/fds/tree/master/Validation
So it is allowed.
