Hello everyone,

In FDS we can provide a value of moisture content for different types of vegetation (fuel). Is there any model available that calculates the fuel moisture with varying atmospheric condition?

I Googled "fuel moisture model based on atmospheric humidity" and had several papers pop up that looked promising.  I think this is very much an active area of research.

Hey Randy,

Thank you for your response. Yes, there are several models for it but does FDS has any of this model incorporated, that I can use?

No.  You need to manually specify the fuel moisture content.
