Hello all,

This may be a stupid question but here it is.  In one of my scenarios I have specified, an output quantity of “carbon dioxide”, the _devc.csv file list the out put quantity in mol/mol.  I have perused the User Guide but I am still stuck.

How should we read the output… mole of CO2 per mole of ??.

I am interested in assessing the degree of toxicity in a space.  Thanks a million for any assistance.

Cheers, Daniel

moles CO2 per moles total, or what is known as the volume fraction.

Kevin,

Thanks for the quick response. It helps but I am still clear. In the User Guide, Section 17.3.1, under the second bullet point, it is stated the following "...as the oxygen volume fraction decreased to about 15%..."

I have reviewed the referenced input file "door_crack.fds", the only devc specified was the pressure.

What output data did you use to conclude the oxygen volume fraction is about 15%?

Thanks again.

Daniel

Hello Rich,

I am a bit surprised that you monitor the FDS group, but that’s a good thing.  Yes, I just got a bit busier, but no complaints.  Glad that you’ve had a good month!  How are you, Bill?

I am plugging along…Nadir
