Hi all,

I have an ongoing run whose smokeview file won't open.
According to the .out file, the run is still ongoing and still generating results.
The .smv file is attached and the error message that shows up is as follow:

Does anyone have any advice on how to fix the smokeview file?

I am thinking of generating a new .smv file somewhere else and then pasting it into the ongoing run's folder, but I'm worried the momentary removal of the corrupted .smv file would cause the run to crash.
Any advice?

Thank you!

Regards,
Pris

I am not sure if modifying the smv file would fix it. Because I observed that during the calculation the smv file is being modified.

You may copy whole calculation folder and work on the copy until the solution arrives.

yes yilmaz is correct I would not modify a .smv file for a case that is running.  smokeview expects to see one TRNZ, OBST etc keyword for each mesh.  how many meshes do you have?  If 24 then you are missing a set of TRNZ, OBST, VENT, CVENT keywords in your .smv file.  If 23 then you have an extra GRID keyword in your .smv file
