Hello,

How can I monitor the time it takes FDS to simulate an input file? I
am running FDS in a linux environment. I know the time it takes to
execute depends on the number of other processes running on the
machine, but is there a way to account for just the FDS execution time
without considering the scheduling time of the OS and any other
extraneous factors? Thanks.

Search for the .out file, The "Total CPU" is the time what you need.

you can also measure CPU time using an FDS device. Look in the FDS UG
for a CPU entry in Table 14.1 titled "Summary of frequently used
output quantities"
