OVERLAPPING OF VENTS

Hi,

           In my simulation, I have a flooring of 12 mm thickness. I have a burner on top of it producing HRR of 20 kW. Now that if 

1. I place my burner just on the top of the floor, I am receiving a warning telling that the vents overlap.

2. But when I try to rise by burner a bit above, I am getting an error telling that the Vent should be attached to the solid obstruction

             Should I just ignore the warnings when followed case 1? Will it create any solution change as mentioned in the user guide 10.3.4? If so, what is the solution to this problem.

FDS uses only the first VENT defined in the input file for a wall cell. The warning is letting you know which VENT is not being applied. If the correct VENT is being applied, then you can ignore the warning. If not, change the order of your VENT inputs.
