Rendering a picture with 2x size causes black horizontal and vertical
lines in the middle of the picture.

I can't replicate this. Can you create an ini file for the the view you
have in the
image and post it along with the smv file. Also if you could note the
resolution of
the window (it is shown in the render menu when you pick 2x)

thanks for your fast reply.
The black lines appear with every *.SMV file no matter what angle or zoom.
I attached a screenshot and the *.ini file.

At that specific window resolution in your png I get a similar behavior. I
get part
of the windows task bar rendered along the bottom and middle of the image.
I'll
assign this to Glenn. In the meantime try rendering with the smokeview
window
slightly smaller than full screen and see if that allows you to get a good
image.
Glenn, here is what I get when I render at his resolution. My screen res
is DVI 1680
x 1050.
