FAQ GPS

How do I view a given GPS coordinate on the web ? (CLICK AND ENTER
COORDINATES)

to view old powerline at swan mountain recreation area between summit
cove and frisco
UTM: Enter 13 for the UTM Zone, 4383200 for Northing, and 410000 for
Easting.
LONG/LAT: Enter 39.59381 for lattitude and -106.04817 for longitude.
Don't leave out the minus - sign, it tells the map which side of the
prime meridian you are on.

Enter 39.59381, -106.04817 to see same location on google

USFS wants FDRD to provide coordinates in UTM13 values.
I did my field work in LAT/LONG because i did not change my GPS
settings to UTM13.
How do I convert latitude/longitude coordinates to UTM13 values ?

After download, follow instructions to

SETUP:
LAT/LONG
and then your GPS datumn setting
and then convert to
UTM
Meters
Zone 013

CONVERSION:
Enter the LAT/LONG coordinates
and you get UTM13 coordinates.
