Greetings, neighbor!
Just a reminder about our next FDNA neighborhood meeting this Tuesday, Sept. 17th, 6 - 8 p.m., at WRBH Reading Radio, 3606 Magazine St.
This will also be a joint meeting with our sister neighborhood association, the Faubourg Marengo N.A. By the way, this will be an excellent opportunity for you to bring any issues you may have related to Hurricane Francine to the attention of City officials listed below.
We'll have a potluck dinner and neighbors' social at 6, so please feel free to bring something to share if you like. Soft drinks, snacks, water and ice will be provided by FDNA and FMNA.
The evening's program will begin at 6:30, featuring:
Lesli Harris, our District B City Councilmember, with updates on our District and the STR licensing program;
Mandie Landry, Louisiana State Representative for District 91, with a summary of the 2024 Legislative Session;
Antonia Holden, the Mayor’s Office Neighborhood Liaison for District B;
Captain Eric Gillard of the 6th District, New Orleans Police Department, with crime statistics and comments on police initiatives in our District and neighborhoods;
A representative from the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office, with updates on current programs and news from OPSO;
A representative from the City's Safety and Permits, Short-Term Rentals Division; and
Robin Borne, Director of Advancement, Ecole Bilingue de la Nouvelle-Orléans.
