Next FDNA meeting, Tuesday, Sept. 17th, 6-8 p.m.

Greetings, neighbor!

Adam Kelly with the FDNA here, hoping this finds you doing well. We’ve scheduled the next FDNA meeting for:

                                                                     Tuesday, September 17th, 6 - 8 p.m. 

at WRBH Reading Radio, 3606 Magazine St.

It's also my pleasure to let you know that this meeting will be a rare joint meeting with our sister neighborhood association, the Faubourg Marengo N. A., located just upriver from us. I look forward to welcoming our upriver neighbors, sharing about our respective needs and thinking of ideas for combining our efforts to address them.

As usual, there will be a potluck dinner from 6 to 6:30, with soft drinks and snacks provided by FDNA (and FMNA). Please bring a snack and your beverage of choice if you wish.

Speakers will start at 6:30; here's the line-up of invited speakers so far:

·        Lesli Harris, our District B City Councilmember;

·       Mandie Landry, Louisiana State Representative for District 91;

·       Antonia Holden, the Mayor’s Office Neighborhood Liaison for District B; 

·       Captain Eric Gillard of the 6th District, New Orleans Police Department;

·       A representative from the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office;

·       A representative from the City's Safety and Permits, Short-Term Rentals Division; and 

·       Robin Borne, Director of Advancement, Ecole Bilingue de la Nouvelle-Orléans.
