Sr. Staff Engineer
Job Description:
As a member of WD’s Taipei AE Team, this individual will perform system integration regarding various OS (Windows, Android, Linux, etc.) and BIOS (e.g. UEFI).
As a key member of the AE Team, the individual is
required to work with WD’s Engineering in developing
cutting-edge storage devices that deliver maximum performance
while consume least power.
This individual will also work closely with CPU vendors, OS
vendors, BIOS vendors, and OEM/ODM customers to design, develop
and analyze the latest system features
and implementations that allow HDD & hybrid storage devices
to compete against “faster” devices such as SSD. This individual
is expected to have trips to US periodically.
Qualification
1. Good experiences (8+ years) in Computer Software/hardware integration. OS, device driver, performance tool, etc.
2. High performance system knowledge, e.g. Ultra-book computer system, iRST, CachExpress, etc.
3. Familiar with popular storage interface protocols including SATA, SAS, PCIe, USB, etc.
4. Leadership with hands-on Capability
5. Good people skill with customers
6. Good English communication a must.
7. CS degree a plus
