i was able to set my IP address but i'm unable to remotely connect a client to 7373.

port 5100 opens up as i have my tablet sniffing my computer for remote ports.
port 7373 is not open but netstat shows udp        0      0 *:7373

any ideas why it's not showing remotely?

i'm aware that is my loopback but that doesn't resolve why the port 7373 is not showing as an open port on the outside.  i haven't even found out how to get fdlog to run as a client to connect back to the 1 server.

Server? I thought it was peer to peer. Unless the newer version has changed that. That was it's strength.

i'll try and set it up on another linux laptop but if they are peer to peer, how do they know about each other on a standalone network?

i set fdlog up and running on both laptops.  i changed the IP back to the original code.  I can see both clients trying to communicate on port 5100 but shouldn't fdlog detect the IP as 192.168.0.1 vice 127.0.0.1.  i wish there was a sample video on how this is working.

it's working now.  appears i needed to change the IP address to a real one as it's not detecting the networking IP.
