After mods to help the ubuntu install pick up it's networking, I put
my brain toward the PR portion that is IMHO a
part to every good FD site.
For north his amateur radion www.nharc.org that is the first thing you
see, the Com Trailer.
Since cell and other broadband is so common (I have a cdma modem) I
thought that it would be cool if the PR
logging station, even if it's not used to compete would do lookups of
the calls being logged by the whole site.
To this end I put my Tasmanian coder friend (son of vk7zro) to work on
building in lookups from qrz.com.

This sub-version of fdlog I call fdlog_pr.py meaning PublicRelations
edition.
It's raw python so unless Alan can compile it into the M$ exe format,
it's going to require the same resources that
running any other PY file on M$ platform would need. Or, just use
Ubuntu.

I had presumed that you could make partial admins, like for unix section or whatever.
My voipcoop.org has phpbb running and can do such things.

I don't see that option in Google Groups, but I have not played with the files there before. We may be able to do more but I didn't want to spend a lot of time figuring that out right now with FD so close and everyone so busy. So I opened posting files to all members which will probably not be a problem on this group, at least at the present time.

I have run phpbb but didn't want to manage it here for this list anymore.

Thanks for your input. There are a bunch of lurkers out there, perhaps we will hear from a few more of them.
