We are considering having a booth at the Fire Hydrant Five Pet Expo, put on by the Larimer Humane Society. We would need to volunteers from 8am-12 noon (could split the shift). With two people, one could run/walk the race with their dog (need to register separately) .

It is usually a fun time with lots of dog people and schmoozing. We would give away leashes and bandanas, and have some photos and brochures.

Please let me know if you would like to volunteer and I will confirm our booth. I am out of town so can not cover it. The deadline is next Wednesday.
Thanks,
Jon

Hi Jon,

I could work the booth. I will plan to be there from 8-12, but would love some help with tear down if someone could help with a later shift and tear down?

Looking forward to it!

Jess

Hey everyone!!
On next Tuesday, May 13th at 10:30a we will be having a presentation on some really cool new suture. It is a barbed suture that is used on the human side, mostly in plastic surgery. It can be used on any internal suturing that is needed and eliminates the need for knots. I think it will come in very handy for those really critical cases that we need to get out fast. It has been tested inside and out on the human side and is making it's way into the animal world.  It is called Quill. I had some information on the counter and a suture packet on the counter last week. The suture has made it's way into the laceration drawer if you want to look at it. Neil from Surgical Specialties will be bringing food, suture pads and hands on suture to play with. I know that he has met with Dr. Smeak at CSU and is making his way around the major specialty hospitals. Please visit their website at www.quilldevice.com for more information. I would love to see all of your lovely faces there and hit him up with all the questions you will have about it. It sounds like a really great product that would be beneficial to have on hand. Please let me know if you will or will not be coming so that I can give Neil a head count. If anything else, FREE FOOD!!!
Let me know if you have any questions!
Thank you!!!

Good morning!!
So the suture presentation has been moved to 1:30p today. Please let me know if the time change allows anyone to come that couldn't before! Remember, free food!! He did say that he could schedule another time to come a visit when the doctors don't have as many meetings.
  Thanks!!
