            Thirty-seven students returned Saturday afternoon from the Pennsylvania State Leadership Conference of the Technology Student Association (TSA).  The conference was held at Seven Springs Conference Center near Champion, PA, on
April 17-20,2013.
            Founded in 1978, TSA is the only student organization devoted exclusively to the needs of students interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).  TSA supports STEM education goals through more than 60
high school and middle school competitions, leadership activities and team work for students.  
            The conference culminated with an awards banquet during which many students were recognized for their achievements.  Local students who (participated/won) were:

The State Leadership Conference of TSA is the second of three levels of competitive conferences. The first was the Region 1 & 6 Leadership Conference, which was held at the Pittsburgh Technical Institute on January 11, 2013, where Fox Chapel Area High
School students qualified for the State level conference. The next level of competition is on June 28 - July 2, 2013, Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida
