Hello Rowers,
Here is the September Dock News you should know.

September 2023


We’ve come a log way and this season is not over.  You may have noticed rowers out in a four and a pair which is new for some of us.  It’s time for head races and we will be ready!  Please see below for the important dates for events coming up.

 

Sept. 16  Head of the Wasatch, Jordanelle Reservoir, UT (practices on Mon and Wed am)

Sept. 30  Head of the Oklahoma

Oct. 15   The 5280, Cherry Creek Res, CO

Oct 21-22 Head of the Charles River, Boston, MA (practices on Fri and Sun am)

Oct 29    The Horsetooth Ache

Nov. 5   Wichita Frostbite, KS

Let Coach Mark know if you are interested in competing in these regattas.  Good luck crews!

 

Oct. 14  Boat inventory and Adopt-A-Boat Dock Day adopting a boat for maintenance and naming privileges.  This will also be boat loading day for The 5280.

Nov. 12 2nd Annual Stern and Bow Party! Note the date is pending upon Eric Steven’s Band availability.  To be held at the Empire Grange Hall at 2306 Mulberry St, Fort Collins, 3-6pm potluck and all are invited.

Dec. 2 Winter Dock Closing and Winterizing in the morning followed by the 2024 Project Teams Planning Meeting and Potluck at 5pm at Jamie’s house, 3108 Barn Swallow Circle, Fort Collins

 

Another note:  Sweepers, the CSU crew will be using our green bladed sweep oars and the Fry Family 4+ at times during the rest of the season.
