Just a few additions and reminders since our last e-newsletter.

1.  There will be a volunteer training session this Tuesday for those wishing to give tours of the Pioneer Village this summer.  The session will be held May 6th at 6:30pm in the Pioneer Museum all-purpose room.  If you are not able to make it, please contact Bonnie Willhelm (bwil...@bresnan.net) to inquire about additional training opportunities.

2.  Don't forget to join us May 11th at 1pm to help organize and clean out the Livery Stable.  Bring work gloves and an extra ladder if you have one!

3.  Thursday, May 15th, author Tom Rea will discuss public land management issues at a program presented May 15th at the Lander Library.  Rea's talk, "The Martin's Cove Controversy:  Public Land, Sacred Land?" explores the history of Martin's Cove, using historical and contemporary photographs, and describes its late transformation into 'holy ground" for the LDS Church. This program raises questions about who owns the past and how we preserve a balance between public and religious rights.

The program is free and open to the public. It is the first in a 4 part series sponsored by the Fremont County Library, the Pioneer Museum and the Wyoming Council for the Humanities.  This presentation will be held at the temporary activities room for the Lander Library at 321 Washakie Street (Rebekah's Hall) at 7 p.m.
