**Service at Service! Our pastor is working on the English Worship Service volunteer list for the upcoming quarter, if you would like to serve as a worship leader, usher, or help in any other capacity, please see Reverend Nathan Lim or email him at nl...@alaska.edu.  He would like to encourage more members to serve and reach out to more people.

1- Join us for English Worship Service on Sunday, 9/1 @ 1pm in the church sanctuary. This week’s speaker will be Rev. Lim and his sermon is titled “The Place of Honor”.

 

2- Share your vision of the church with body of Jesus Christ.  The annual retreat will be held on Saturday, September 7 from 9:00am to 3:30pm at our church.  T.E. Krystin Granberg is our facilitator for this retreat.  She has lots of experience in building a missional church.  Lunch will also be provided.  Please see Don Jang if you are interested in attending.

 

3- All are invited for Kick-Off Sunday! As summer quickly comes to an end and  school has begun, Come Join Us at Sunday School! We look forward to seeing you there.

4- Fall is here and transformation will soon be bursting forth all around us!  Join Adult Fellowship next Sunday, September 8 at 2:30 as we celebrate the change in the air and discuss the state of our church.  Rev Lim will be guiding us in the reflection, conversation, and brainstorming.  We will also share our thoughts on the AF Summer Retreat and look towards the future.

 

5- Chinese Summer Retreat: Recharge and relax at the beautiful Star Lake summer camp located in the foothills of the Ramapo Mountains in Bloomingdale, NJ from September 20-21, 2013.  The speaker is Rev. David Lam and the cost is $100.00 including transportation.  Please see Mei Luk for registration.

 

6- Sunday School is in need of 3 volunteer teachers for a 3-month rotation. Please see Doreen or Vicki asap if you are interested in helping out with Sunday School Classes.

 

 

Prayers of Concern & Comfort and Prayers of Blessings: 

 

Prayer for The Lau Family and for Henry K. who are now adjusting to new environments in Singapore and California. FCPC will miss them and will keep them in our prayers as they undergo new and exciting journeys!

Prayer for thanksgiving for another wonderful summer of FCPC activities such as our Summer Program and Conferences

Prayer for those who are assisting in planning many of FCPC’s upcoming events and gatherings. May they do everything in the Spirit and may FCPC bear much fruit. 

Prayer for peace amidst the current turmoil and conflict in countries all around the world such as Syria and Egypt. 

Prayer for the continued health and strength of our FCPC members and tireless volunteers. May they continue good works in the Spirit. May they be blessed with wisdom and with the support of their brothers and sisters. 

Prayer for our students. May they continue to fellowship with FCPC in many ways as they return to school.

Prayer for those who are in ill health or recovering, such as Ms. Kimberly Yap, Ms. Lan Jin Mock, Dr. Wayne Ho, Mr. Will Ho and Ms. Mulun Liang

Prayer for all those struggling during these difficult economic times, especially the Elderly and Homeless.

Prayer for the Fellowships and community activities of FCPC.

Prayer for the men and women serving in the Armed Forces.
