**Service at Service! Our pastor is working on the English Worship Service volunteer list for the upcoming quarter, if you would like to serve as a worship leader, usher, or help in any other capacity, please see Reverend Nathan Lim or email him at nl...@alaska.edu. He would like to encourage more members to serve and reach out to more people.

1- Join us for English Worship Service on Holy Communion Sunday, 10/6 @ 1pm in the church sanctuary. This week’s speaker will be Rev. Lim and his sermon is titled “The Good in You.”
2- Every 1st Sunday of the month for the rest of year, CEM will have a different event planned @2:30pm after English worship service. There will be a picture show presentation in the sanctuary on Sunday, 10/6 following Worship Service highlighting the different activities of the past year.
Re-live the great memories from our farewell “roast” to the JYF/BASIC/AF conferences, and other church events!
3- Session will convene their monthly meeting on Friday, 10/11 @ 6:30pm at FCPC. If you have any helpful comments or creative suggestions please do feel free to contact the Clerk of Session, Elder Lap Lee or share your thoughts with any members on the board.
4- Join us for an outing to pick your own apples (and other fruits and vegetables) at a working farm on Saturday, 10/12. We will meet at Lawrence Farms Orchards in Hudson Valley @11:00am. A tailgate lunch will be provided. For more information, visit lawrencefarmsorchards.com or ask a CEM member.

5- Married Couples Fellowship is hosting a BBQ on Sunday, 10/13 before the cold weather settles in. They have graciously extended their invitation to everyone in the English congregation. Come and enjoy the secret sauce, good food, great conversation, and the exceptional fellowship.
6- Presbytery Day, now known as Congregational Resource Day will be held on Saturday, 10/26 at Brick Presbyterian Church located in Manhattan at 62 East 92nd St. from 8:30am to 12:00pm. The theme will be “Healthy You, Healthy Congregation" and will cover such topics as Obamacare, Maintaining a healthy congregation, Symptoms of a dying church, and You are what you eat, physically and spiritually.
7- Would you like to share God’s word with children? Here is your chance to share God’s message with them. Sunday School is looking for 2 teachers for a short 3 month rotation. Kindly see Doreen and Vicki in volunteering your time in helping out your church and the children.
Prayers of Concern & Comfort and Prayers of Blessings:
Prayer for those who have lost a loved one such as the family of Mrs. Yuk-Chuk Larm Chang. May God comfort them during their time of sadness.
Prayer of Thanksgiving to Mikey and Grace who have welcomed their son Lance to the world! Prayers to the young and growing family!
Prayer for those who are assisting in planning many of FCPC’s upcoming events and gatherings. May they do everything in the Spirit and may FCPC bear much fruit.
Prayer for peace amidst the current turmoil and conflict in countries all around the world such as Kenya, Syria and Egypt.
Prayer for the continued health and strength of our FCPC members and tireless volunteers. May they continue good works in the Spirit. May they be blessed with wisdom and with the support of their brothers and sisters.
Prayer for our students. May they continue to fellowship with FCPC in many ways while in school.
Prayer for those who are in ill health or recovering, such as Ms. Kimberly Yap, Ms. Lan Jin Mock, Dr. Wayne Ho, Mr. Will Ho and Ms. Mulun Liang.
Prayer for all those struggling during these difficult economic times, especially the Elderly and Homeless.
