Mike Murphy just posted that one of the pioneers of community radio, Jeremy Lansman who I communicated with on Facebook over the years, just died. He and Lorenzo Milam started several community stations around the country and you can read some of the history on the kkfi story website.
With the next administration threatening to censor or even shut down some broadcasting, I think it would be a good idea to review how community radio got started and its struggle with the government in the 1970s. On kkfistory.org you may read information about community radio and the "Petition Against God" which I put on the website.
